'People holding flowers" was made out of synthetic polymer paint on resin,velour,steel wire,lodestone and cotton.There are a total of 400 sculptures.The artists Zhu Weibing and Ji Wenyu made this piece to represent people living in China in the modern world and how they are rushing around trying to buy things that they think would make them happy.
CULTURAL CONTENT:
China today is known as a very busy city.The artists are trying to make a statment that material possesoins don't really make you happy.
VISUAL LANGUAGE:
The artists have used a contrast of colour with the men being in dul black buisness suits against the contrasting clolours of the green flower stems and bright pink flowers.

It is a fantastic piece Emily. You need to find other images by the artists and post these too. You have not completed the task as set last Friday though ... please rectify.
you also need to start the research component of the painting task, find artists, artworks and images of your favourite places.
